HydraFacial At Zen ReGen

HydraFacial utilizes a unique, patented Vortex-Fusion delivery system to cleanse, exfoliate, extract, and hydrate the skin in one appointment. The spiral design of the HydroPeel tips creates a controlled vortex effect that loosens dead skin cells and removes impurities while the device hydrates and delivers nourishing serums.

This noninvasive treatment gives the skin a deep cleanse without aggressive scrubbing, harsh chemicals, or the recovery time associated with laser therapy. Most patients leave with smoother texture, cleaner-looking pores, and skin feeling refreshed.

At Zen ReGen, HydraFacial Sacramento patients get help with a wide range of common skin concerns. Your provider can keep the treatment simple or customize it with targeted serums, LED light therapy, lymphatic drainage, and eye or lip add-ons. Schedule a consultation to find out which protocol fits your skin.

What Is a HydraFacial?

HydraFacial is a noninvasive, multistep facial treatment that uses a specialized device to cleanse, exfoliate, extract impurities, and hydrate the skin.

The treatment follows three core steps:

Cleanse and Exfoliate

The HydraFacial device clears away surface buildup and dead skin cells while gently exfoliating the skin. This prepares the pores for extraction and allows the hydrating formulas used later in the treatment to make better contact with the skin.

Extract

The device uses fluid and gentle suction to remove excess oil and debris from clogged pores. There is no traditional squeezing or prolonged manual extraction. Most patients describe the suction as comfortable, even around more congested areas such as the nose and chin.

Hydrate

The final core step delivers hydrating and targeted serums into freshly cleansed skin. Depending on the selected protocol, these formulas may contain hyaluronic acid, antioxidants, peptides, or other ingredients chosen around your skin goals.

Deluxe and Platinum treatments add further customization through boosters, LED light therapy, or lymphatic drainage.

What Does HydraFacial Address?

HydraFacial can address specific concerns while supporting overall skin health. It is commonly selected for:

  • Dry or dehydrated skin
  • Clogged pores and blackheads
  • Excess oil
  • Rough texture
  • Dull-looking skin
  • Uneven skin tone
  • Fine lines and wrinkles
  • Enlarged-looking pore size
  • Mild dark spots and visible sun damage
  • Surface congestion associated with mild acne
  • Skin that needs a refresh before an event

HydraFacial can make the skin look cleaner, smoother, and better hydrated after just one treatment. Regular treatments may offer more lasting benefits for patients working on congestion, dryness, or uneven texture.

It does have limits. HydraFacial does not replace medical acne care, laser resurfacing, or procedures designed for deeper scars and advanced skin conditions. We’ll recommend another option when your specific skin concerns need a more corrective approach.

What Are the Benefits of HydraFacial?

HydraFacial combines several familiar facial steps with advanced technology. Benefits may include:

  • Deeply cleansing the pores
  • Boosts collagen
  • Removing impurities and surface buildup
  • Gentle exfoliation without aggressive abrasion
  • Improved skin hydration
  • Smoother-looking skin texture
  • Cleaner-looking pores
  • More even-looking skin tone
  • Softer visible fine lines and wrinkles
  • Better product absorption after treatment
  • Immediate visible results with little to no downtime

The treatment is also highly adjustable. We can change the tip, suction level, booster, and add-ons based on your skin type and what it needs during that appointment.

Which HydraFacial Is Right for You?

All three HydraFacial levels cleanse, exfoliate, extract, and hydrate the skin. The main difference is how much customization and supporting treatment each protocol includes.

Signature HydraFacial

The Signature HydraFacial includes the core three-step treatment, combining gentle exfoliation, suction-based extraction, and hydration in an efficient appointment. It works well for first-time patients, routine maintenance, mild congestion, dehydrated or dull-looking skin, and anyone who wants a streamlined treatment without additional steps.

Deluxe HydraFacial

The Deluxe HydraFacial builds on the Signature protocol with a booster selected for specific skin concerns and LED light therapy. It is a good fit for patients focused on uneven tone or texture, fine lines, persistent dehydration, visible signs of sun exposure, or concerns that call for more targeted treatment.

Platinum HydraFacial

The Platinum HydraFacial offers the most comprehensive protocol. It typically includes lymphatic drainage, the core HydraFacial steps, a personalized booster, and LED light therapy. Patients often choose this option for event preparation, comprehensive skin maintenance, congestion paired with dryness or uneven tone, or when they want several treatment steps completed in one session.

You don’t need to choose a tier before arriving. We can look at your skin, talk through your goals, and recommend the option that fits.

HydraFacial Boosters and Add-Ons

Customization is one reason patients choose HydraFacial over a traditional facial.

Targeted Boosters

HydraFacial boosters contain concentrated ingredients selected to address specific concerns. Depending on your skin goals, we may choose a formula focused on hydration, fine lines and wrinkles, uneven tone, rough texture, or visible discoloration.

LED Light Therapy

Red or blue LED light therapy may be included with Deluxe and Platinum treatments. The selected setting depends on the condition of your skin and the purpose of the session.

Lymphatic Drainage

Lymphatic drainage is included in the Platinum protocol. This gentle step is performed before the core treatment and supports the comprehensive nature of the appointment.

Eye and Lip Perk Treatments

HydraFacial Perk treatments give the eye and lip areas more focused exfoliation and hydration. We can add one or both based on what those areas need.

Who Is a Good Candidate for HydraFacial?

HydraFacial is suitable for many skin types, including dry, oily, combination, mature, and sensitive skin. A good candidate may want to:

  • Improve hydration
  • Unclog pores
  • Smooth rough texture
  • Address mild congestion
  • Refresh the skin before an event
  • Maintain results between other cosmetic treatments
  • Build a more consistent skincare routine

Sensitive skin can often be treated by adjusting the protocol, though that doesn’t mean every treatment setting or booster is right for everyone. Active irritation, open skin, sunburn, severe inflammatory acne, or a current skin flare may be reasons to wait. Treatment should be performed on intact skin and should not be used directly over severe inflammatory acne or cysts.

We also need to know about recent injectables, chemical peels, laser treatments, prescription products, and isotretinoin use. We’ll sort out the timing for your treatment during your initial consultation.

What Is a HydraFacial Treatment Like?

We begin by examining your skin and asking what you want to improve. That helps us select the HydraFacial level, booster, tip, and any useful add-ons.

During treatment, the HydraFacial device moves across the face while delivering fluid and creating painless suction. The extraction step may feel slightly stronger around clogged pores, but it should not feel aggressive.

We then complete any booster, LED, lymphatic drainage, or Perk treatment included in your protocol. The appointment ends with finishing products and sunscreen.

A Signature HydraFacial may take about 30 minutes. More customized HydraFacial sessions can take 45 to 90 minutes, depending on the tier and add-ons.

Preparing for Your HydraFacial

Tell us if you recently had Botox, dermal filler, a chemical peel, laser treatment, isotretinoin use, including Accutane, or any other cosmetic procedure. We may need to adjust your appointment timing.

Before treatment:

  • Avoid medium or deep resurfacing treatments, including chemical peels and laser procedures, for about two weeks beforehand unless your provider gives you different instructions.
  • Wait at least one week after Botox and about two weeks after dermal filler before scheduling HydraFacial.
  • Pause retinoids for approximately five days before treatment, or follow the timing recommended by your provider.
  • Avoid waxing, aggressive exfoliation, and strong new skincare products immediately before your visit.
  • Do not shave on the day of treatment when possible. If you need to shave, do so at least three to four hours before your appointment.
  • Arrive with calm, intact skin. Let us know if you have sunburn, active irritation, open areas, or a significant breakout.

Recovery and Aftercare

HydraFacial requires little to no recovery time. Most patients return to work, errands, and social plans immediately after their appointment.

Mild pinkness can occur, especially after more focused extraction, but it usually settles quickly. For the first day or two:

  • Cleanse gently and avoid scrubbing or using cleansing brushes.
  • Wait approximately 12 to 24 hours before resuming your usual cleanser, unless your provider recommends otherwise.
  • Use the gentle cleanser, moisturizer, and other products recommended by the Zen ReGen team.
  • Pause retinoids, exfoliating acids, and other strong active ingredients for the period recommended by your provider.
  • Avoid waxing and depilatory creams for one to two weeks.
  • Avoid laser treatments for about two weeks unless your treatment plan calls for different spacing.
  • Limit direct sun exposure while the skin is freshly exfoliated.
  • Apply broad-spectrum sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher every day.
  • Consider regular HydraFacial treatments and appropriate take-home skincare if you want to maintain hydration and smoother texture.

HydraFacial doesn’t involve a laser or aggressive resurfacing, but the freshly exfoliated skin still benefits from simple, protective care.

When Will I See HydraFacial Results?

Many patients see visible results immediately. The skin may feel softer and better hydrated, pores may look cleaner, and makeup often applies more evenly.

Hydration may be most noticeable during the first week. Improvements in congestion, tone, and texture may last several weeks, depending on your skin, skincare routine, treatment level, and selected booster.

How Often Should You Get a HydraFacial?

Many patients schedule HydraFacial treatments every four to six weeks. Others come in before an event or whenever their skin feels congested, dry, or rough.

Patients working on a specific concern may benefit from a short series followed by maintenance. We recommend a schedule based on your skin rather than placing every patient on the same calendar.

Can HydraFacial Be Combined With Other Treatments?

HydraFacial can complement injectables, chemical peels, microneedling, laser treatments, LED therapy, and medical-grade skincare. The order and spacing depend on the other procedure.

The appointment should be coordinated carefully around treatments that make the skin sensitive or involve injections. We’ll map out the timing so each service has room to do its job.

How Much Does HydraFacial Cost?

HydraFacial cost reflects the treatment tier, booster, and add-ons selected. A Signature appointment has a different protocol than a Deluxe or Platinum HydraFacial, while eye and lip Perk treatments can also affect the total.

We work out pricing during consultation after looking at your skin and deciding what the treatment needs to include. You’ll receive a clear recommendation and cost before moving forward.

Why Choose Zen ReGen for HydraFacial?

At Zen ReGen, HydraFacial is selected and customized within a larger skin-health plan. Our trained skincare providers use authentic HydraFacial technology and consider your hydration, congestion, sensitivity, tone, texture, current products, and recent procedures before beginning.

Our Sacramento HydraFacial experience is polished, comfortable, and practical. We use the steps your skin needs and leave out what it does not.

HydraFacial FAQs

Most patients find HydraFacial comfortable. You’ll feel fluid and light suction moving across the skin. Congested areas may feel more noticeable during extraction.

It can be. We adjust the exfoliation, suction, formulas, and add-ons around the condition of your skin. Treatment may be postponed when sensitive skin is actively irritated.

You can usually apply makeup after treatment, though many patients prefer to leave the skin clean for the rest of the day.

HydraFacial can help remove excess oil and surface congestion associated with mild acne. It isn’t a substitute for medical treatment of severe inflammatory acne and shouldn’t be performed directly over active cysts.

A traditional facial generally uses hands-on cleansing, exfoliation, masks, and manual extraction. HydraFacial uses a patented device to exfoliate, extract impurities, and deliver hydrating serums through a controlled sequence.

Yes. Many patients schedule treatment before events because visible results can appear quickly, and recovery time is minimal. First-time patients may prefer to come in several days ahead.
